Bodegas Fulcro

Manuel Moldes Morana or ‘Chicho’ as everyone calls him, belongs to a typical Galician family that always made wine for their own consumption. In 2009, Chicho decided to take the next step into the world of winemaking by founding Bodegas Fulcro, a tiny winery in the Salnés Valley that makes around 30,000 bottles of wine. Despite his low profile, Chicho Moldes is a name to remember in Rías Baixas and one to watch. He makes two reds and three Albariños from vineyards near the sea in Meaño and Sanxenxo, chosen after careful soil studies to find sites that can transmit the maximum expression of terroir.
