Bodegas Terras Gauda

Terras Gauda is located in the O Rosal subzone of Rías Baixas, very close to the mouth of the Miño River, and just a stone’s throw from the border with Portugal. It was founded in 1990, with an inaugural vintage made from local winegrowers’ grapes. From there, founder José María Fonseca brought on winemaker Pepe Hidalgo and planted vineyards, growing the project to its current form. Today, the winery has 160 hectares of their own vineyards and sells 1.5 million bottles. Apart from the winery in Galicia, Terras Gauda also owns Bodegas Pittacum in Bierzo, Quinta Sardonia in Ribera del Duero, and Heraclio Alfaro, in Rioja.
