Château de Saint-Martin

In a beautiful spot situated near the Tour de Taradeau, the history of St Martin goes back well over 2000 years, and the remains of a substantial Roman villa were uncovered a few decades ago. The underground cellars (a rarity in Provence) were dug by medieval monks, and after that the property became a female dynasty passed from Comtesse to Comtesse over seven generations. The wines are lovely, and the Château is a must-visit.
