Tenuta di Valgiano

More than a winery, Tenuta di Valgiano is a holistic farm - admired as much for this as for the wines. Since 1992, Moreno Petrini and Laura di Collobiano have gone all in - converting to biodynamic cultivation and conducting soil studies to match grapes with place all while preserving the estate’s DNA through massal selection replantings. The wines are Demeter Certified and definitely of the natual ilk. Highlights include the hazy, flavourful Trebbiano Toscano-led Palistorti di Valgiano as well as top bottling Tenuta di Valgiano Rosso, a foot stomped old vines blend of Sangiovese with a fascinating mix of diverse Italian and international grapes.
