Rocca di Montegrossi

A descendant of the ‘Iron Baron’ - Bettino Ricasoli, Marco Ricasoli Firidolfi is unsurprisingly hyper-exacting. The result is pristine, exuberant and vivacious Chianti Classico you can sink your teeth into. As one of the champions of the rare Pugnitello grape, Firidolfi adds a healthy dash to his barrique-aged single vineyard Gran Selezione - San Marcellino for additional flesh and colour. It also brings rustic Tuscan charm to Cabernet Sauvignon in the IGT Ridolfi bottling. The estate is a reference for top-shelf Vin Santo, though Firidolfi just asks that you refrain from dipping biscotti in the glass.
