Cigliano di Sopra

Emblematic of Chianti Classico’s new generation, Maddalena Fucile and Matteo Vaccari met while studying winemaking. Their label was born thanks to Fucile’s family’s property in San Casciano which had being selling wine in bulk. The pair is full of zeal and energy that is captured by their staple annata. The newer single vineyard Riserva from 50-plus year-old vines reveals a more serious side. With experiments in the vineyard and winery bubbling away (like a Trebbiano Toscano under flor) and youth on their side, there is certainly plenty more to come.
