Riccardo Campinoti prefers to pick a day early rather than a day late and crafts taut, sculpted wines. With parcels throughout the denomination, he was an early adopter of single vineyard Brunello. The Vigna Vecchia can be quite strict and foreboding in its youth while Casanovina Montosoli demonstrates the breed of this hallowed hill. Passo del Lume Spento is from a plot at 621 metres – which until 2016 sat outside the denomination due to its lofty elevation. The estate Brunello brings all these together and more offering a panorama of the entire zone through one very focused lens.
