Le Potazzine

Gigliola Giannetti was considered crazy when she purchased and planted her first vineyard at over 500 metres - around the time her two daughters were born. No longer the little ‘chickadees’ that inspired the name of the estate, Viola and Sofia Gorelli now play a more serious role at Le Potazzine. The former has been the winemaker since 2017 and just receive a second degree – this one in viticulture and oenology. To date only 5 Riserva have been produced since the inaugural 1997 vintage. These are noticeably denser and more structured than the thrillingly perfumed and mouthwatering Brunello annata offerings.
