Funaro

Funaro, founded in 2003 by the Funaro siblings in Santa Ninfa (Trapani province), is an organic-certified winery producing wines that combine sustainability with a modern, approachable style. The estate farms around 85 hectares across three sites, Santa Ninfa, Salemi, and Castelvetrano, allowing for a wide range of exposures, altitudes, and soil types.
The portfolio focuses on both native varieties, such as Nero d’Avola, Perricone, Grillo, and Catarratto, and international grapes like Syrah, Merlot, and Chardonnay, all cultivated under strict organic protocols. Winemaking is precise yet minimally interventionist, using temperature-controlled fermentations and balanced oak aging to preserve freshness and varietal expression.
