Pellegrino, founded in 1880 in Marsala, is one of Sicily’s largest and most established family-owned wineries, now in its sixth generation. Historically renowned for Marsala production, the estate has expanded its reach across multiple Sicilian terroirs, with vineyards in Marsala, the Trapani countryside, Pantelleria, and other key zones.
The portfolio includes fortified Marsala wines, made using traditional ageing in oak casks, as well as a broad range of still wines from native varieties such as Grillo, Catarratto, Nero d’Avola, and Zibibbo. On Pantelleria, Pellegrino is a major producer of Passito di Pantelleria, crafted from sun-dried Zibibbo grapes and noted for its intensity and aromatic complexity. Representative wines include Marsala Vergine Soleras, Passito di Pantelleria Nes, and single-varietal Grillo and Nero d’Avola bottlings, combining consistent quality with broad market appeal.
