Domaine des Bernardins

The leading estate in Beaumes de Venise for both its sweet Muscats and its dry red, Domaine des Bernardin’s roots go back to the 1500s. Current winemaker Romain Hall represents the seventh generation – his family bought the estate in 1820. Their Muscats typically have a pink/copper tinge due to the prevalence of Muscat à Petits Grains Rouges in their vineyards, a natural colour mutation. The red, whole bunch fermented, is remarkably long lived and one of the great bargains of the wine world.
