Mas de Libian

This is one of the handful of excellent Natural-leaning estates at the southern tip of the Ardèche, on the west bank of the Southern Rhône. Hélène Thibon manages the estate, but three generations all pitch in; her ancestors bought the estate in 1670. They’ve always been organic, and in 2000 moved to biodynamics. They pick relatively early, destem their reds, and opt for short macerations and élevage in order to create wines with freshness, elegance and vibrant drinkability.
