Vine cultivation at Domaine de la Croix Chaptal dates back at least to the 10th century. Located in the highlands of the Languedoc, within the Terrasses du Larzac appellation, the estate is run by Charles-Walter Pacaud. It spans around twenty hectares and is a key promoter of Clairette du Languedoc—one of the South’s most charming and underappreciated whites, produced today by only ten growers.
