Clos Sauvage

Clos Sauvage is based in Saint-Amour, the most northerly of the Crus, a zone where the Gamay vineyards blend seamlessly into the Chardonnay vineyards of the Maconnais. Sophie and David Devynck took on 4 hectares of abandoned vines that straddle the border at altitude in 2018 and use their grapes to make a range of elegant Maconnais whites and refined, elegant Gamay-based reds, the latter bottled as Saint-Amour.
