Domaine Célia et David Large

David and Célia Large do things a little differently. Their property lies on the northern fringes of Bas Beaujolais, where most of their vineyards are planted on steep granite slopes or hard volcanic rocks rather than the more generous limestone that predominate in the area. Their wines also walk to the beat of a different drum, with half of them bottled as Vins de France rather than Beaujolais AOP. They all share a vibrancy and evidence of careful winemaking, as well as some of the most strikingly designed labels in the region.
