Fletcher Wines

This outstanding estate is run by Aussie expat Dave Fletcher. Today, having worked for several years as the principal head of red wine production at Ceretto, Dave works exclusively producing his range of 10 red and white wines from at least 12 vineyard sites, most notably his three Barbaresco and Chardonnay, which are produced from a combination of estate-grown and purchased fruit. From vine to bottle, pragmatism defines Fletcher’s methods, and whilst one might term the wines minimal intervention, such labels belie Dave’s relentless commitment to improving his methodology, from agronomic practices to his pied de cuve and more. The resultant wines are precise, expressive and multidimensional, with abundant ripe tannins and moreish acids, regularly ranking in my top three Barbaresco releases each vintage.
